Module 1: Anti-Stress Dance Program
6 progressive sessions from guided warm-ups to the transformative 5Rhythms practice.
- Introduction to Anti-Stress Dance (1 min)
- You don't need to follow choreography — your body knows how to move
- 6 meditative sessions build progressively toward free dance
- Each session is ~20 minutes of guided somatic movement
- Session 1 — Reset: Finding Your Own Movement (19 min)
- Movement starts with awareness of each body part, from head to toes
- There is no wrong way to respond to the guided prompts
- Warm-up gradually transitions into intuitive free movement
- Session 2 — Release: Stretching and Letting Go (19 min)
- Releasing sounds while stretching helps discharge physical tension
- Wave-like movements connect different body parts as one flow
- Permission to yawn, groan, and vocalize is part of the practice
- Session 3 — Touch: Moving from Body Awareness (19 min)
- Touch-guided movement builds body awareness from the inside
- Each person's movement looks completely different — and that's the point
- Hand placement on your own body activates somatic self-connection
- Session 4 — Reboot: Activating Through Rhythm (18 min)
- Rhythmic tapping and patting awakens dormant body awareness
- Surface activation precedes deeper movement — trust the warm-up
- Dancing emerges naturally from an activated, warmed body
- Session 5 — Flow: Grounded Wave Movement (18 min)
- Starting from a grounded position unlocks different movement qualities
- Imagining resistance (thick substance) deepens the somatic experience
- Slow, intentional movement can release more tension than fast movement
- Session 6 — Integration: The 5Rhythms Dance (20 min)
- 5Rhythms (flowing, staccato, chaos, lyrical, stillness) map to life moods
- Non-stop dancing through all rhythms integrates the entire program
- Your body discovers new flows and states it didn't know it had
